North Carolina hired Joe Scachetti as its Volunteer Assistant coach. He spent the 2015-16 school year as the goalkeeping coach for both the men's and women's programs at UNC Asheville, and was the recruiting coordinator for the Bulldog women's program.

2016 MLS first round draft selection Jordan McCrary debuted with the New England Revolution last week, helping his club defeat the Carolina Railhawks, 1-0, at WakeMed Soccer Park to advance to the Round of 16 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
McCrary started at right back, playing all 120 minutes for the Revs.
Incoming freshman Cam Lindley assisted on all three goals of a 3-0 Chicago Fire U23 victory over Kokomo Mantis in PDL action earlier this week in Chicago.
The Fire U-23s are tied with Des Moines for first place in the Heartland Division. The squad is coached by former UNC star Logan Pause.

Omar Holness made his Real Salt Lake debut, coming on in the 117th minute in last week's U.S. Open Cup victory over the Wilmington Hammerheads.
Current and former UNC teammate Boyd Okwuonu was in the starting lineup for Real Salt Lake that night as well.

Former UNC standout keeper Scott Goodwin, the 2012 Academic All-America of the Year in Division I men's soccer, is trading in his boots for a set of scrubs as he announced recently the intent to enroll in Harvard Medical School.
Goodwin told the Courier Journal in Louisville, Kentucky, "I've chosen to accept a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pursue a medical education at Harvard Medical School this fall.
"It's been a very difficult decision for me because of what this team and what this season means to me and I would love to be here to see it through to the end with these guys. But I'm equally excited to start this next stage in my life and begin to try to tackle that next big life goal of becoming a doctor."
One of Louisville City FC's best players since its inception, Goodwin has started 37 games since 2015 for the USL side.
