Additionally, all 11 home matches will have a live broadcast, beginning with the opening weekend featuring the annual Carolina Nike Classic that pits the Tar Heels against Cal Poly on Friday, Aug. 26 and Saint Louis on Sunday, Aug. 28. Both contests are slated for a 7:30 p.m. start from Fetzer Field.
The first seven games of the season will be on the newly formed ACC Network Extra platform.
Events covered by ACC Network Extra will be immediately available to users who have access to WatchESPN and the ESPN app. UNC's first ACC Network Extra game is Friday, Aug. 19 when the women's soccer team faces UCF at 7:30 p.m.
Carolina will be featured in 51 Olympic sports regular-season fall events plus the postseason Atlantic Coast Conference Championships on ACC Network Extra, ESPNU and the Regional Sports Network.
Carolina's 51 regular-season contests are part of an ACC-record number of Olympic sporting events that will be streamed live this fall by ACC Network Extra, a dedicated digital channel for ACC sports that is debuting Friday.
The coverage marks the initial phase of the full ACC Network announced in July by ESPN and the ACC. Live streaming of Olympic sports will increase annually, culminating with 1,300 total ACC events when the linear network launches in 2019.
