James Pyle Named ACC Defensive Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina's James Pyle was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
Pyle made six saves on 21 shots faced to shut out No. 2 Clemson on the road on Friday night, a 1-0 win for the Tar Heels. The redshirt sophomore keeper from Charlotte, North Carolina, came up with a key penalty save in the first half to keep the match tied 0-0 at halftime. The shutout was his third in four matches this season. Earlier in the week, he made three saves in a 3-2 win over VCU on Monday night.
Notre Dame's Brandon Aubrey was named the Offensive Player of the Week. A defender, Aubrey scored three goals in a 4-1 win over No. 15 Virginia Tech.
