Cloots Shoots 69 In Final Round To Finish 5-Under
September 18, 2016 | Women's Golf
CANCUN, Mexico – Leslie Cloots turned in a 69 in the final round of the World Amateur Team Championships on Saturday to help lead Belgium to an 11th-place finish. Cloots' 3-under par round was the third consecutive under-par round she had at the tournament.
Cloots had four birdies on the day to just one bogey to card the 3-under 69. Her four-day aggregate of 76-70-68-69–283 (-5) tied for eighth at the tournament. She led Belgium's team in each of the four days.
Cloots' strong showing on the international stage bodes well for her senior year debut as Carolina takes on the Cougar Classic from Oct. 2-4.
