Boshamer Named Among Nation's Top Ballparks

A vote of college baseball coaches and sports information directors from around the country placed UNC's Boshamer Stadium as the No. 10 overall baseball facility, according to the results a recent survey conducted by D1Baseball.com.
Boshamer received 57 points in the poll and two first-place votes, making it one of three Atlantic Coast Conference stadiums along with Clemson's Doug Kingsmore Stadium and FSU's Dick Howser Stadium in the national top 10.
One anonymous voter said of the stadium, which underwent a massive renovation prior to the 2009 season, "A minor league ballpark on a college campus, immaculate field conditions, press box, suite area and offices are second to none.” Another spoke to the Chapel Hill atmosphere - "The field and facilities are fantastic, but the hospitality is even better.”
The home of Carolina baseball also ranked No. 10 nationally among the prettiest settings, a nod to Boshamer's central campus location and tree-lined outfield.
