Carolina Begins Fourth Weekend Of Scrimmages

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The North Carolina Tar Heels held an eight-inning scrimmage on a humid Thursday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium on Thursday, their tenth scrimmage of the Fall.
Zack Gahagan and Kyle Datres both went 3-5 at the plate to lead all hitters. Tyler Lynn, Utah Jones and Brendan Illies each had two hits.
Brian Miler drilled a three-run home run, the only homer of the scrimmage. Zack Gahagan had two doubles, while Cody Roberts, Tyler Lynn, Brandon Riley, Aaron Greenfield and Brendan Illies each had a double.
Trevor Gay and Luca Dalatri were the starters, with Cole Aker, Evan Odum and Logan Welch throwing in relief.
The Tar Heels will next scrimmage on Friday afternoon.
