North Carolina will open the 2017 college baseball season ranked No. 9 nationally by D1Baseball.com, the website announced in its preseason poll Tuesday. Carolina is one of an NCAA-best seven ACC clubs in the top 25 as the Tar Heels are joined by No. 3 Florida State, No. 6 NC State, No. 12 Louisville, No. 15 Clemson, No. 17 Virginia and No. 21 Miami.

UNC will face FSU, NC State, Clemson, Virginia and Miami in league play. Additionally, the Tar Heels will play No. 4 South Carolina (April 11 in Charlotte), No. 10 East Carolina (March 22 and April 4), No. 11 Coastal Carolina (March 28), No. 22 Maryland (March 14) and No. 24 UNCW (May 16).

Carolina opens the 2017 campaign on Friday, Feb. 17, with the first of three against Kentucky. That kicks off a 17-game homestand to start the year, and the Tar Heels will host a total of 38 home games. Season ticket packages are available now by visiting GoHeels.com/tickets or clicking here.
