Tar Heels Will Open 2017 Ranked In Top 10

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The UNC men's tennis team will open the 2017 spring season ranked No. 9 nationally, according to the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings, announced on Wednesday by the ITA.
Carolina kicks off spring action on Jan. 14, hosting Bucknell (10 a.m.) and Wofford (3 p.m.) at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. For UNC's full spring schedule, click here.
UNC is one of three Atlantic Coast Conference teams ranked in the top 10 nationally, along with No. 1 Virginia and No. 2 Wake Forest. Also on the Tar Heels' schedule is No. 17 Illinois (Feb. 4 in Champaign, Ill.).
In addition to the top-10 team ranking, senior Ronnie Schneider is ranked No. 38 in singles, freshman Joshua Peck is No. 57 in singles, and Schneider and Jack Murrary are ranked 43rd in doubles.
