Blue Wins The FWS With A 3-1 Win On Sunday

Chapel Hill, NC -- The Blue team took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and never trailed on the way to a 3-1 win over Navy to win the Fall World Series on Sunday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. Blue took the opening game of the series on Friday night before Navy forced Sunday's deciding, winner-take-all game with a win on Saturday.
Kip Brandenburg's two-RBI double drove in Ashton McGee and Clemente Inclan to give Blue a 2-0 lead in the first. Navy scored its only run in the third when Jackson Hesterlee's single scored Dylan Enwiller. Blue then got a big insurance run with Clemente Inclan's mammoth homer to right in the sixth.
Inclan and Brandon Riley were the only players with multiple base hits. Inclan was 2-3 with one RBI and two runs scored, while Riley was 2-3 at the plate. There were four extra base hits. Inclan homered, Joey Lancellotti tripled, and Dylan Enwiller and Kip Brandenburg both doubled.
Ben Casparius, Caden O'Brien and Kyle Blendinger threw for Blue with Austin Love and Trevor Gay throwing for Navy.
