Carolina Holds Final Preseason Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, NC- The North Carolina Tar Heels held a two-hour situational scrimmage in their final preseason scrimmage on Tuesday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Adam Pate led all hitters by going 2-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Tyler Lynn had a two-run homer to right, while Utah Jones tripled and Ike Freeman had a double.
The eight pitchers who threw were Bo Weiss, Taylor Sugg, Robbie Peto, Evan Odum, Cole Aker, Teddy Sabato, Tyler Baum and Hansen Butler.
The Tar Heels open the 2017 season against Kentucky on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Bosh.
