No. 9 Carolina Wraps Homestand With Maryland

CHAPEL HILL --- No. 9 North Carolina finishes its 17-game homestand Tuesday when the Tar Heels host Maryland at 4 p.m. at Boshamer Stadium. Carolina is 12-4 on the year after a series win over Virginia last weekend. Maryland swept Bryant over the weekend to improve to 9-5 on the season Tuesday's contest, which is the first between UNC and Maryland since 2014, will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.

NORTH CAROLINA-MARYLAND SERIES HISTORY
• North Carolina is 139-55-2 all-time against Maryland, including a 41-10 record against the Terrapins under Mike Fox.
• Carolina and Maryland last met at the 2014 ACC Championship in Greensboro. That game, Maryland's last as an ACC member, was a 13-7 Tar Heel victory.
• In 2014, Carolina took two of three from Maryland in College Park in the teams' final regular season series as conference foes. After winning the opener 7-0 and dropping the middle game 3-2, the Tar Heels scored a 9-4 victory in the finale to take the series.
• Prior to 2015, the two teams had played at least once every season since 1953, the final year both schools were members of the Southern Conference.
