Carolina Takes On Georgia Monday For Shot At NCAA TItle

The Tar Heels (28-4) are seeded ninth in the field and also ranked ninth in the latest ITA national poll. The Bulldogs (22-7) are ranked 12th and seeded 13th in the field.
This will be the second meeting of the season between UNC and Georgia. The two faced off on Feb. 17 in Charlottesville, Va., in the ITA National Team Indoor Championship, where UNC won 4-2.
UNC earned a spot in its first final four by beating No. 1 Wake Forest 4-2 Saturday in a match that, due to a weather delay, spanned eight hours and finished in the early minutes of Sunday morning. Carolina reached the Elite 8 with a 4-1 win over No. 8 California Thursday evening in Athens.
The Tar Heels started their NCAA Tournament march with a pair of homecourt victories at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center, beating VCU 4-0 in the first round on May 12 and No. 20 South Carolina 4-1 in the second round on May 13.
