Carolina Scrimmages On Saturday

Chapel Hill, NC -- The Navy squad broke a 2-2 tie with two runs in the top of the seventh and held on for a 4-3 win over Blue in a full nine inning scrimmage on Saturday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Kyle Datres was 2-4 with one RBI and one run scored with a home run and a double. Brandon Martorano was also 2-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Angel Zarate, Brendan Illies and Josh Ladowski each had two base hits. Dallas Tessar, Illies and Matorano each doubled.
Austin Bergner and Tyler Baum were the two starters. Kyle Blendinger, Hansen Butler, Trevor Gay, Bo Weiss and Ben Casparius each threw in relief.
Weater permitting, Carolina's next scrimmage will be on Sunday.
