UNC To Host Howard In NCAA First Round

UNC and Bison meet Saturday at 1 p.m. in Cary, N.C.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina women's soccer team has earned an at-large bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship and will play host to Southwestern Athletic Conference champion Howard University in the first round on Saturday, November 10 at 1 p.m.
The first round game will be played at Koka Booth Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. The match will be webcast nationally on ACC Network Extra and live stats will be available on NCAA.com and GoHeels.com.
Tickets will be on sale in advance and at the gate on Saturday. Gates will open at noon. Check the Ticket Center on GoHeels.com later to confirm pricing details.
UNC enters the match as a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, joining Stanford, Georgetown and Florida State as No. 1 seeds. The Tar Heels are 17-3-1 this season. The Bison have a record of 12-6-2.
This marks Carolina's 37th successive NCAA Tournament appearance. UNC has appeared in every previous NCAA Tournament dating back to the first tournament in 1982. The Tar Heels have won 21 of the previous 36 NCAA titles.
