Alex Comsia and Nils Bruening were named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, on Thursday, which recognizes the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Comsia and Bruening have both earned numerous academic awards in their North Carolina career being selected to All-ACC Academic Teams multiple times. Comsia was also named a Division I Scholar All-American during the 2017 campaign.

The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third team (if necessary) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
