MARYLAND SERIES HISTORY
• UNC and Maryland will play for the 198th time in the series history, with the Heels holding a 140-55-2 advantage.Â

HEELS SWEEP PITT
North Carolina won all three games of its series against Pittsburgh over the weekend, the team's second sweep of the season (March 2-4 vs. Liberty). The Tar Heels outscored the Panthers 32-5, the fewest runs allowed by UNC pitching since April 8-10, 2016 against Virginia Tech. Zack Gahagan drove in six runs, while Ike Freeman added six hits of his own and boosted his season average to .328. All three starters, Tyler Baum, Austin Bergner and Taylor Sugg, earned wins.
