CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team will start the 2019 season ranked third in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Women's Preseason Top 20, as published in the January edition of US Lacrosse Magazine.
Boston College is the top-ranked team in the poll, followed by Maryland, Carolina, Florida and Stony Brook in the top five. Â Defending NCAA champion James Madison is No. 6, Penn is No. 7, Northwestern is No. 8, Princeton is No. 9 and Towson is No. 10.
