CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team will start the 2019 season ranked third in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Women's Preseason Top 20, as published in the January edition of US Lacrosse Magazine.
Boston College is the top-ranked team in the poll, followed by Maryland, Carolina, Florida and Stony Brook in the top five. Defending NCAA champion James Madison is No. 6, Penn is No. 7, Northwestern is No. 8, Princeton is No. 9 and Towson is No. 10.
