Heels Wrap Up First Week Of Scrimmages

Chapel Hill, NC -- Sunday's scrimmage was a low-scoring affair as the Blue squad took a 2-1 win over Navy in an eight-inning scrimmage at Boshamer Stadium. Navy had four hits to just two for Blue. The two teams combined for just one error.
Earl Semper was the only player with multiple base hits as he went 2-3 with a double, the only extra base hit of the day. Jake Holtzapple and Angel Zarate had Blue's other two base hits. Ike Freeman and Michael Busch had Navy's only two base hits.
Austin Elliott, Davis Palermo, Andrew Grogan and Casey Maniglia saw action on the mound.Â
The Heels' next scrimmage date has not been determined as the weather in the next few days is problematic. Â
