Busch Named Baseball America First-Team All-America

Chapel Hill -- North Carolina junior Michael Busch was named a Baseball America first team preseason All-American, the site announced Monday. This is the third preseason All-American nomination Busch has received as he was also named to the first team by D1 Baseball as well as second team by Collegiate Baseball.
A native of Inver Groves Heights, Minn., Busch finished second on the team with a .317 batting average but led the team in runs scored (70), home runs (13), RBI (63), slugging percentage (.521), walks (55) and on base percentage (.465). He was named to the Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List as well as named to the All-ACC second team and was voted second team All-Region by ABCA/Rawlings.Â
