Carolina Notes
• Carolina is 12-3 overall, including 2-0 in the ACC. Carolina is 4-1 on the road this season.
• Carolina has beaten NC State six years in a row at PNC Arena in Raleigh.
• Carolina is 16-4 against NC State in PNC Arena and 20-4 overall in PNC Arena.
• The Tar Heels are 8-0 this season and 143-5 under Roy Williams when scoring 90 or more points.
• Carolina tied its season high with 23 turnovers, but has won both times (Gonzaga and NC State).
• It was the most turnovers in a road win since 2/2/2006 at Maryland when UNC committed 24 in a 77-62 win.
• It was the first time UNC won a road game with 20 or more turnovers since Ty Lawson hit a buzzer-beating three at Florida State on 1/28/2009. UNC committed 21 in that win in Tallahassee.
• All five starters scored in double figures for the first time this season.Â
• Carolina tied its season low in bench scoring with nine points (also at Wofford in the opener).
• NC State came into the game fifth in the country in offensive rebound percentage (.392), but the Tar Heels grabbed 37 defensive rebounds to the Pack's 10 offensive boards (.213).
• Carolina came into the game first in the ACC and sixth nationally in rebound margin (at +11.1) and out-rebounded State by 18 (51-33). The 51 rebounds were the most by UNC against NC State since 2/1/2014, when the Tar Heels had 52 in an 84-70 win.
• Carolina made 10 threes. It was the sixth time this season UNC made 10 or more (UNC is 5-1 in those games).
• Carolina was 22 for 26 from the free throw line. It was the third time in the last four games and sixth time overall UNC shot 80 percent or better from the line (UNC is 6-0 in those games).
• Carolina scored the first 12 points. It was the first time UNC scored the game's first 10 points since Long Beach on 11/15/2016.
• This was the 11th time UNC has opened ACC play with two road games and the seventh time the Tar Heels have won both of those road games.

Tar Heel Player Notes
• Luke Maye (21/11), Cameron Johnson (15/11) and Kenny Williams (15/10) had double-doubles. This was the first time three Tar Heels had double-doubles since the 2012 NCAA Sweet 16 against Ohio (Tyler Zeller, John Henson and Reggie Bullock).
• It was a career-high 10 rebounds for Kenny Williams and his first career double-double.
• It was Maye's third double-double in the last four games, sixth of the season and 24th of his career.
• It was Johnson's first double-double of the season, his fourth as a Tar Heel and fifth all-time (one at Pitt).
• Maye led UNC with 21 points. It was the fourth time this year he led UNC in scoring and was his third game with 20 or more points (16th career 20-point game).
• Johnson had a season-high five assists and made 4 of 7 three-pointers. It was the seventh game in a row he made multiple threes. He is 19 for 34 (.559) from three-point range in the last six games.
• Johnson played just 17 minutes (five in the second half), which tied his season low at Elon when he scored 21 points in 17 minutes. He left the game with 12:36 to play due to leg cramps and did not return.
• The game was tied twice – at 47-all and 53-all. Both times, Johnson broke the tie with a three-pointer. He was fouled and converted a four-point play on the first one.
• Garrison Brooks had 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists. It was the second game in a row he led or tied for the lead in assists, the first two times he has done that as a Tar Heel.
• Brooks has 10 assists and zero turnovers in the two ACC games. He 10 assists and 17 turnovers in the first 13 games this season.
• Coby White scored 13 of his 19 points in the first half. He scored 41 points in UNC's first two ACC games (both road games).
• Brandon Robinson tied his career high with two blocked shots (Chaminade in 2016-17) and hit a corner three to give UNC a 59-55 lead. Robinson played 16 minutes, the second consecutive game he played a career-high minutes in an ACC game (15 at Pitt).

Roy Williams Notes
• 854-230 in 31 seasons, including 436-129 in 16 seasons at Carolina
• Now 34-4 against NC State (29-4 as Carolina's head coach and 5-0 while at Kansas). The 34 wins over NC State are the second most by Williams against any opponent (36 vs. Kansas State). It broke a second-place tie with Colorado (33).
• Williams is 14-2 against NC State in Raleigh and 18-2 in PNC Arena.
• The win was the 81st ACC road win for Williams. He is third all-time behind Mike Krzyzewski (177) and Dean Smith (133) in ACC road wins. Williams' ACC road winning percentage of .633 is second best all-time behind Duke's Vic Bubas (.667).

• UNC leads 157-78 with wins in 29 of the last 33 (all under Williams) and 46 of the last 57.Â
• UNC is 66-46 at NC State.
• It was the fifth game in a row UNC has scored 90 or more points against NC State (107, 97, 91, 96 and 90).
