"Dear Freshman Mauricio,
The moment you step off that plane, there is no going back. Carolina is going to be your new home, whether you like it or not. And yeah, maybe visiting the place beforehand would have been a smart idea, but hey, I'm not one to judge.
You've spent your entire life living at home with your family; going to school, soccer practice, and then back home to your family.
You have traveled a lot - all over the world for weeks at a time - but you always end up back at home. This time is different. This is permanent."
