Tar Heels Go 3-0 In Tulsa

TULSA, OKLA.—Led by Simon Soendergaard's drive into the main draw, University of North Carolina men's tennis players went 3-0 on Tuesday at the ITA All-American Championships.
Soendergaard went 2-0 in singles play, starting his day with a 7-6(4), 6-7(4) 6-1 decision over No. 105 Henrik Korsgaard of Virginia Tech to advance to the final round of qualifying.
Later in the day, he qualified for the main draw with a 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 win over TCU's Tadeas Paroulek.
Soendergaard joined teammate Mac Kiger to win their Tuesday doubles match against Dickerson and Lah (Baylor), 6-3, 6-1, qualifying for the main draw on Wednesday afternoon. Soendergaard and Kiger will meet Dominik Kellovsky and Matej Vocel of Oklahoma State.
Soendergaard joins Josh Peck and Brian Cernoch in the main draw beginning on Wednesday morning. Carolina is the only Atlantic Coast Conference school with mulitple players in the singles draw and one of eight teams nationally with three players in the main draw.

10 a.m. - Brian Cernoch vs. Loic Cloes (qualifier; South Alabama)
Noon - Josh Peck vs. Jonathan Sheehy (Abilene Christian)
1 p.m. - Simon Soendergaard vs. Keegan Smith (UCLA)
4 p.m. Soendergaard and Kiger vs. Dominik Kellovsky and Matej Vocel (Oklahoma State)
