Carolina Hosts No. 20 Oklahoma Friday Afternoon
March 21, 2019 | Men's Tennis
The 11th-ranked North Carolina men's tennis team kicks off a busy weekend Friday afternoon, hosting No. 20 Oklahoma for a nonconference match up at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. Match time is 2 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.
Fans will get free Jersey Mike's sandwiches between doubles and singles and can spin the Jersey Mike's wheel to win prizes.
It's the first time UNC (10-3) has played at home in almost a month, and will be just the second outdoor match in Chapel Hill this season. Carolina beat Duke 4-1 on Feb. 28 in the team's last homecourt action.
Friday's matches will mark the debut of UNC's newly-resurfaced courts, providing an outstanding playing surface for the competitors.
On Sunday the Tar Heels will host No. 23 Miami for an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup that has been moved back one hour to a 2 p.m. start. It's the second match of a Tar Heel-Hurricane doubleheader, with the women's teams facing off at 11 a.m.
