No. 1 North Carolina closes out the regular season with a pair of Atlantic Coast Conference road matches at Georgia Tech on Friday at 3 p.m. and Sunday at Virginia Tech beginning at 1 p.m.
The first-place Tar Heels (24-1, 12-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) are enjoying a 15-match winning streak heading into the weekend, the programs longest such streak since winning 21 in a row back in 2016.Â
Two victories would give Carolina its third unbeaten record against the ACC in the last five seasons going back to 2015, and the sixth occurrence in program history.Â
Duke sits in second place at 11-1, while Florida State and NC State are tied for third at 10-3, however, the Seminoles hold the tiebreaker over the Wolfpack thanks to a 4-3 win in Raleigh last weekend.
The ACC Championship is back at Cary Tennis Park April 17-21 in Cary, N.C. The Tar Heels have secured first and second round byes and will begin play on Friday afternoon on the 19th. Both semifinals matches on Saturday and the title game on Sunday will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
