CHAPEL HILL--University of North Carolina guard Cameron Johnson was on few NBA Draft first-round radars prior to the 2018-19 season, but after a standout year with the Tar Heels the graduate student was a lottery pick last week by the Phoenix Suns. Â
Johnson played two seasons for Carolina after completing his undergraduate degree in 2017 at the University of Pittsburgh. He led UNC with 16.9 points per game last year, hitting over 45 percent of his three-point attempts and earning first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors.
Minnesota drafted Johnson with the 11th pick of the first round of last week's NBA Draft, then traded him to Phoenix.Â
This week, Johnson returned to Chapel Hill for Roy Williams' basketball camp and sat down with GoHeels Productions for an exclusive recap of his memorable night:
