UNC Rowing Interest Meeting Set for August 21

CHAPEL HILL – UNC's NCAA Division I women's rowing team will kick off the fall semester by hosting a general interest meeting for all female students who are interested in learning more about the team and the tryout process. No prior rowing or coxing experience is necessary to try out, and all are invited to attend the interest meeting, which is set for Wednesday, Aug. 21st at 8 p.m. in Carmichael Arena.

Prior to tryouts, all athletes must:
• Have a physician complete the athletic physical form. (To download the form, visit the rowing page on goheels.com and look for "tryouts" in the bar at the top of the page, or click here (PDF).)
• Complete the insurance form (also located in the "tryouts" section on the rowing page, or here (PDF)) and submit along with a front-and-back copy of a valid insurance card.
• Obtain a sickle cell test.
