UNC-Lyon Scrimmage Moved To Cary Friday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina women's soccer team will play its only exhibition match of the 2019 season Friday at 10 a.m. versus the Olympique Lyonnais Féminin reserves.
The match will be played at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. It previously was announced as a scrimmage at the new UNC Soccer & Lacrosse Stadium on the UNC campus.
The site was finalized Wednesday to accommodate the Lyon travel schedule. Lyon is playing in the International Champions Cup with games on Thursday and Sunday in Cary at WakeMed Soccer Park.
The Tar Heels open their 2019 regular season next Thursday, August 22 versus Indiana at 6:30 p.m.
