3 Seniors In Top-10 Preseason National Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2019-20 Oracle ITA Division I preseason women's tennis national rankings on Tuesday. North Carolina, which advanced to the NCAA Championships semifinals last spring, led all schools with three players ranked in the top 10.
Seniors Makenna Jones and Alexa Graham are No. 3 and No. 4 respectively, while classmate Sara Daavettila is the third Tar Heel in the top 10 after earning a No. 7 ranking.
Sophomore Cameron Morra is No. 12 in the national rankings and junior Alle Sanford is No. 110.
On the doubles side, Jones and Morra are No. 3, while Graham and Daavettila checks in at No. 20.
The fall season begins this weekend at the Furman Invitational Friday-Sunday in Greenville, S.C.
The Oracle ITA Masters is scheduled for Sept. 26-29 at the Malibu Racquet Club and Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. Graham will represent the Tar Heels in the first major tournament of the collegiate season.
