Navy Pulls Away In Friday's Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, NC - The Navy squad broke a 3-3 tie with four runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 7-3 win over Blue in a seven-inning scrimmage on Friday on another sultry afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. Each squad had seven hits and there were no errors in the scrimmage.
Navy was led at the plate by Angel Zarate and Joey Lancellotti. Zarate was 2-4 with three RBI and a double and one run scored, while Lancellotti was 2-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Danny Serretti was 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored to lead Blue. Tyler Causey had a triple, with Caleb Roberts adding a double.
Seven pitchers saw action: Andrew Grogan, Josh Dotson, Isaiah Bennett, Nik Pry, Stephen Pelli, Chris Joyner and Evan Reifert.
The Tar Heels will play host to Walter State on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
