Every Tuesday game is a Two for Tuesday promotion. Two general admission seats come out to $5 and reserved come out to $10 when purchased in pairs.
History with UNCW
• North Carolina leads the all-time series with UNCW 12-5-2 dating back to 1976. The Tar Heels and Seahawks have split the last two regular season meetings with the home side winning both by the final score of 1-0.
• Head coach Carlos Somoano is 5-3 all-time against UNCW and 4-1 at home.
• The last 3 meetings have been deciding by one goal, with the Heels winning the last two.
• UNC has not lost to UNCW at home since 2013 when the Seahawks won 1-0 in Chapel Hill.
Constant Named ACC Defender of the Week
• Junior Matt Constant was named the ACC Defender of the Week after leading the Tar Heel defense to shutouts against Davidson and Notre Dame. In those two games, the Heels only gave up one combined shot on goal in 200 minutes of action.
Rose off to a Red Hot Start
• Alex Rose led the team with 10 points through five games. Those 10 points are tied for the second most by any Tar Heel player through five games since head coach Carlos Somoano took over in 2011. In 2011, Billy Schuler recorded 11 points through 5 gives while Enzo Martinez also recorded 10 points.
Historic Offensive Performance
• North Carolina fired off 35 shots against Harvard on Friday, Sept. 6. The 35 total shots are a record for the Heels under head coach Carlos Somoano.
• The 35 shots against Harvard are currently the second most shots in a single game in the country during the 2019 men's college season. Valparaiso has the most shots during a single game with 41.
• The 18 shots on goal during the Harvard game are the 3rd most in a game this season in the country for men's college soccer.
• The six goals scored also tied for the second most under Carlos Somoano and the second largest margin of defeat. The record under Somoano for the Heels came on Oct. 11 of 2016 when the Heels outscored UNC Asheville 7-0.
Senior Class Award
• Mauricio Pineda and Jack Skahan were both named as candidates for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
