Carolina Baseball Hosts First Pitch Dinner on Saturday

CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina baseball team hosts its annual First Pitch Dinner on Saturday to celebrate the start of the 2020 college baseball season.

Featured speakers include Tar Heel alumni and current Major Leaguers Zac Gallen, Trevor Kelley, Brian Moran and Trent Thornton.

Members of the 1960 Carolina Baseball team will be honored. The 1960 team won the Atlantic Coast Conference title and was Carolina's first to play in the College World Series.

Gallen (Arizona Diamondbacks), Kelley (Boston Red Sox), Moran (Miami Marlins) and Thornton (Toronto Blue Jays) each made their MLB debut in 2019.
