Carolina Notes
•  Tar Heels are now 8-7 overall, 1-3 in the ACC and 4-4 at home this season
• Carolina led by 14 points (32-18) with 3:08 to play in the first half. The 14-point lead is UNC's largest in a loss this season. Previous was nine against Michigan.
• Garrison Brooks and Armando Bacot were a combined 15 of 23 from the floor (.652), while the rest of the team was 10 for 38 (.263).
• Carolina had won six of the seven games it led at the half this season prior to this evening's game. UNC led 37-28 at the half.
• This was only the 16th time in 35 seasons UNC lost a game at the Smith Center when it led at the half (354-16 when leading at the half in the Smith Center).
• Carolina out-rebounded the Panthers by 15 (42-27) and had 14 offensive boards, but converted those into only 12 points.
• Pittsburgh out-scored the Tar Heels by eight from the free throw line (18-10) and by 12 from three-point range (27-15).

Tar Heel Player Notes
•  Garrison Brooks posted a double-double (21 points and 10 rebounds) for the third time in as many games. He had two in his career prior to the Yale, Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh games.
• Brooks tied his career high with nine field goals for the second game in a row.
• Armando Bacot was 6 for 11 from the floor for 15 points. He had made six field goals in his previous three games (one in the last two).
• Bacot also had a season-high four assists.
• Leaky Black tied his career high with nine points.
• Brandon Robinson made three 3FGs and has made 15 in the last four games.
