Carolina Notes
• UNC is 4-2 overall, 2-0 at the Smith Center.
• UNC made 17 consecutive free throws – its last four of the first half and 13 for 13 in the second.
• UNC made 25 of 31 free throws for the game, a season-high percentage of .806.
• The 25 made free throws were a season high.
• Carolina trailed by 11 points in the first half (NCCU led 19-8 with 11:26 to play in the half). This was the fourth time in six games this season UNC has trailed by double figures in the first half (13 point-lead by UNLV, 16 by Texas and Iowa and 11 by NCCU). UNC is 2-2 in those four games.
• Carolina finished the first half on a 16-5 run over the final 8:30 to lead 30-28 at intermission.
• UNC also had a 15-5 run midway through the second half to take a 57-42 lead with 9:11 to play.
• Carolina shot 51.9 percent from the floor in the second half. It was the third time in four games UNC has shot 50 percent or better in the second half.
• Andrew Platek made both of UNC's three-pointers (team was 2 for 15 from 3FG). It was the second time in three games (Texas) no starter made a three-pointer. Kerwin Walton made the Tar Heels' only three vs. the Longhorns.
• UNC committed 18 turnovers, the fourth time in six games UNC had more turnovers than assists.
• The Tar Heels are averaging 12.5 assists and 16.5 turnovers through the first six games.
• UNC is 173-18 all-time against in-state, non-conference teams.
• UNC is 210-17 all-time in the Smith Center against non-conference teams.

Player Notes
• Armando Bacot led UNC with a season-high 19 points and 11 rebounds. It was his second double-double of the season and 13th of his career.
• It was the third straight game Bacot grabbed 10 or more rebounds (12 vs. Texas, 11 at Iowa, 11 vs. NCCU).
• Bacot was 7 for 10 from the line. The seven free made FTs were a season-high for him and the fourth time in his career he made seven or more.
• Platek scored in double figures for the third time this season with 11. He previously scored in double figures twice as a freshman.
• Platek made two 3FGs, the third time this season and ninth time in his career he made multiple threes.
• Day'Ron Sharpe had 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks, a steal and no turnovers. It was his third outing scoring in double figures.
• Caleb Love scored in double figures for the fourth time and had four assists and three steals, but he had a season-high six turnovers.
