Women's/Diving ACC Championships: Day 1

After the first day of ACC Championships, the women's team is in third place with 135 points, and the men's diving team is tied for first with 55 points. Both women's relays, the 200 medley and 800 freestyle, placed fifth. Emily Grund placed eighth in the women's 1-meter diving, and Alex Hart and Fabian Stepinski placed sixth and eighth in the men's 3-meter diving.

The Tar Heels return to Greensboro Aquatic Center tomorrow for the women's 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, and 3-meter diving. The men's diving team will also compete in the 1-meter diving.

Carolina Hauder is seeded eighth for the 200 IM, and Grace Countie and Emma Cole hold the fifth and ninth seeds for the 50 freestyle. Emily Grund enters preliminaries with a third seed in the women's 3-meter diving, and Fabian Stepinski and Alex Hart, the men's diving dynamic duo, are seeded second and fifth in the 1-meter competition.
