Tar Heels Set To Finish ACC Schedule With Virginia Dual

No. 8 North Carolina finishes up its ACC schedule this weekend when it travels to Charlottesville to battle Virginia Friday at 7:00 p.m. EST. The dual will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

UNC (13-2, 3-1) enters Friday night's dual with the Cavaliers (8-5, 1-3) following a strong team performance last weekend. The Tar Heels knocked off No. 9 Pittsburgh on Friday night in Carmichael Arena before traveling to Ithaca and collecting a 21-13 win over No. 17 Cornell Sunday.

Both Clay Lautt and Kennedy Monday advanced their dual meet records to 12-2 on the season with their weekend wins.

The Tar Heels have four wrestlers listed in Intermat's rankings this week: No. 3 Austin O'Connor (149 pounds), No. 12 Zach Sherman (141), No. 13 Kennedy Monday (165) and No. 16 A.C. Headlee (157).

Virginia enters the dual with three ranked wrestlers: No. 2 Jack Mueller (125), No. 8 Jay Aiello (197) and No. 19 Quinn Miller (285). Last weekend, the team defeated Duke in Durham, 34-15.
