Men's ACC Championships: Day 1

The Tar Heel men continued the strong work of the male divers Wednesday as they finished the first night of men's ACC Championships in fourth place, following NC State, Florida State and Virginia. North Carolina placed eighth in the 200 medley relay and seventh in the 800 freestyle relay.

Last week, male divers Fabian Stepinski and Alex Hart scored major points for UNC to set them up well for this week's swimming competition.

The ACC Championships continue Thursday with the men competing in the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley and 50 freestyle. Dimitrios Dimitriou is expected to well in the 500 freestyle, as are Tyler Hill in the 200 individual medley and Eli Coan in the 50 freestyle.
