Carolina Notes
• Improved to 14-18 this season with its fourth win in the last five games, its best stretch since going 5-0 to start the season.
• Now 102-47 in the ACC Tournament (1-1 in first round games).
• 40-18 in ACC Tournament games in Greensboro.
• Made 7 of 13 three-pointers for 53.8 percent, the second highest three-point percentage this season and third time shooting at least 50 percent.
• Had 45 rebounds, the 18th time in 32 games this season UNC grabbed at least 40 rebounds in a game.
• Eight turnovers, the third consecutive game with less than 10 (seven vs. Wake Forest and eight at Duke) .
• Carolina shot 54.8 percent from the floor in the second half. It's the fourth time in the last five games UNC has shot 50 percent in the second half.
Tar Heel Player Notes
• Garrison Brooks scored a game-high 20 points, his seventh straight game with 20 or more (longest streak by a Tar Heel since Tyler Hansbrough had nine in a row in 2008-09).
• Brooks was 8 for 10 from the free throw line and is 45 for 55 in the last five games (.800).
• Armando Bacot had 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for his 11th double-double (he is second in double-doubles by a UNC freshman behind Antawn Jamison's 13 in 1995-96).
• Brandon Robinson was 5 for 6 from three-point range and scored 17 points. It was the 14th time this season he made at least three 3FGs and the fifth time he made five.
• He is the first Tar Heel to make five threes in an ACC Tournament game since Marcus Paige made five against Notre Dame in the 2015 championship game.
