Aaron Sabato Collects All-America Honors

CHAPEL HILL- Aaron Sabato was named a Second Team All-America by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, the organization announced today.Â
Sabato, who was named to the list after an incredible freshman season in 2019, made his second appearance on the list after helping guide North Carolina to a 12-7 finish in 2020. The sophomore power-hitter smashed seven home runs in 2020, including six home runs in the final six games of the season. He ended his sophomore campaign batting .292, slugging .708, while drawing 22 walks.
On March 9, Sabato was named ACC Player of the Week after finishing the five-game slate batting .333 and slugging 1.133, while he collected four home runs in 15 at-bats. Patient at the plate, Sabato drew 11 walks and ended the week with a team-high .615 on-base percentage.
