Carolina, Seven Players Earn ITA Academic Honors

CHAPEL HILL - The 2020 ITA National Indoor Champion North Carolina women's tennis program has been named an ITA All-Academic Team, while seven Tar Heels earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2019-20 season.Â
Senior Makenna Jones and junior Anna Harmon both garner their second career ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. Jones first earned the award as a freshman in 2017, while Harmon makes a second straight appearance.
First time plaudits go to senior Sara Daavettila, sophomore Cameron Morra, and freshmen Kacie Harvey, Elizabeth Scotty and Anika Yarlagadda.Â
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
