UNC Announces 2021 Baseball Slate

CHAPEL HILL – Highlighted by 12 series against ACC opponents, including six at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium, North Carolina has released its 2021 baseball schedule.

The Tar Heels' slate features 50 games, with 29 set to be held in Chapel Hill.

The Atlantic Coast Conference elected for 36 conference games, as opposed to 30, which had been scheduled in previous years. The Tar Heels will compete against 12 out of 13 possible conference opponents.

UNC opens the 2021 season with Kentucky (Feb. 19-21), who is the first SEC opponent to play a regular season series at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium since the Wildcats visited Chapel Hill from Feb. 17-19 to open the 2017 season.

Carolina opens ACC play by playing host to Virginia from Feb. 26-28. The Tar Heels travel to Virginia Tech (March 5-7) before welcoming Liberty on March 9.

Clemson travels to Boshamer Stadium (March 12-14) prior to road trips to Liberty (March 16) and Boston College (March 19-21). East Carolina will visit the Tar Heels for a midweek matchup on March 23 before UNC hosts NC State (March 26-28).

In April, the Tar Heels will be on the road at Florida State (April 2-4), Pittsburgh (April 16-18), and Notre Dame (April 30-May 1). North Carolina welcomes Duke (April 9-11), Charlotte (April 13), Coastal Carolina (April 20), Miami (April 23-25) and Gardner-Webb (April 27).

After beginning the month at Notre Dame, North Carolina is set to play six-straight home games, the final regular-season competition at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium. UNC hosts Campbell (May 4), UNCG (May 11) and Louisville (May 14-16).

The Tar Heels' regular season ends in Atlanta against Georgia Tech (May 20-22).

The 2021 ACC Baseball Championship is set for May 25-30 while the 2021 NCAA Championship slated to begin with regional play on June 4. The College World Series is slated for June 19-29/30 at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.
