Volleyball Hosts NC State For Wednesday Matchup

CHAPEL HILL – The Carolina volleyball team returns to Carmichael Arena on Wednesday night for a matchup with NC State. First serve is set for 8 p.m. and will air on ACCN. Fans in attendance are encouraged to wear blue.

Carolina is coming off a 2-0 weekend on the road at Boston College and Syracuse. The Heels earned back-to-back 3-0 wins against both the Eagles and the Orange and are currently on a four-match win streak.
As a team, Carolina hit a combined .288 between the two matches. Nia Parker-Robinson had a team-high 25 kills, while hitting .420, averaging 4.17 kills a set. Setter Meghan Neelon had 73 assists, while libero Karenna Wurl added 34 on the weekend, both team-bests.
Award Winner
Sophomore Kaya Merkler earned the first weekly award of her career on Tuesday, being named the ACC Co-Player of the Week.
The middle hitter started both matches at Boston College and Syracuse for the Heels, tallying 23 kills and four blocks with a .618 attacking clip, committing just two errors in six sets played.
