The UNC men's and women's cross country teams will compete at NCAA Southeast Regionals on Friday, racing at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Anchorage, Ky., just outside of Louisville.

The last action for both Carolina teams was at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships on Oct. 29 in South Bend, Ind. The Tar Heels squads turned in their best finishes since 2014, with the women taking second overall and the men fourth.

The NCAA Regionals take place at nine sites across the country on Friday, with teams and individuals attempting to qualify for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 20 in Tallahassee, Fla.
