Men's Soccer Secures NCAA Tournament Bid

CHAPEL HILL — The University of North Carolina's men's soccer team has earned an at-large bid to the 2021 NCAA Championship, the NCAA announced on Monday afternoon. It's the 28th NCAA Tournament bid in program history.
The Tar Heels (11-6-1) will host fellow at-large bid Loyola Maryland (10-6-3) in the first round on Thursday, November 18th (time TBD).
The winner of the game between UNC and Loyola Maryland will advance to play the 16-seed New Hampshire (16-1-2) on Sunday, November 21st.
Other Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the field include Clemson, Duke, Louisville, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. North Carolina has competed against eight of the 48 teams in the NCAA Tournament during the 2021 season.
The NCAA College Cup for both men and women will be played in Cary, N.C. at WakeMed Soccer Park.
