March 15, 2021 | Baseball
CHAPEL HILL - Redshirt junior Clemente Inclan was named ACC Player of the Week after his performances against Liberty and Clemson, the league announced today.
Inclan became the first Tar Heel to homer in four-straight games since Michael Busch accomplished the feat April 12-16, 2019, and lead UNC to a 3-1 week that included a three-game ACC weekend sweep of Clemson.
The award is the first of his career and he joins Austin Love as Tar Heels to collect weekly award from the conference in 2021.
The Jacksonville, Florida, native hit. 364 with eight RBIs in the four games and scored six runs to help the Tar Heels claim a share of first place in the still-early ACC Coastal Division standings.
The No. 14 Tar Heels travel to Liberty on March 16 for a mid-week matchup. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
