For the fifth time this season, North Carolina junior forward Erin Matson has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week.

Matson scored all three goals for top-ranked UNC in a 3-2 overtime win at No. 12 Virginia on Friday. The game-winner came 58 seconds into overtime, on UNC's first possession of the period. On a pass from sophomore Paityn Wirth, Matson lofted a shot past the keeper for the road victory. With the six-point game, Matson took over third place on UNC's career points list with 190 through 58 games as a Tar Heel.

Boston College goalkeeper Jonna Kennedy was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week.

Next up for the Tar Heels (14-1) is the final regular-season game of the spring. Carolina travels north to play at Syracuse on Sunday afternoon in a 1 p.m. game that will be broadcast by ACC Network Extra.
