Tar Heels Wrap Up Day 2 At Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – North Carolina won the men's 4x400 relay to cap the second and final day of track and field competition Saturday at the Virginia Challenge, hosted by the University of Virginia at Lannigan field. Ryan Saint-Germain, Isaiah Palmer, Jadon Johnson and Onyedikachi Ohia-Enyia ran a season-best 3:09.43 to take the win.
That was the only first-place finish on the day, but just one of a number of standout performances.
Freshman Craig Saddler II placed second in the 400-meter hurdles in a personal-best 51.97.
Sophomore Sydney Banks placed fourth in the women's high jump with a season-best clearance of 5-7 (1.70m).
Freshman Brianna White ran a 24.39 into a headwind to take sixth in the women's 200 meters.
The Tar Heels are in action May 3rd at the Duke Twilight Meet then look ahead to the Atlantic Coast Conference Outdoor Championships May 13-15 in Raleigh.
