Men's Soccer Earns NCAA Tournament Bid

CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina's men's soccer team has earned an at-large bid to the 2020 NCAA Championship, the NCAA announced on Monday afternoon. It's the 27th NCAA Tournament bid in program history.
The Tar Heels (7-4-3) will play fellow at-large bid Charlotte (6-3-1) in the second round on Sunday May 2 at WakeMed Soccer Park's Field No. 2 in Cary, N.C.
The entire NCAA Tournament will be played at sites in the state of North Carolina.
The winner of the game between UNC and the 49ers will advance to play either fourth-seeded Stanford, UNCG or Denver.
Other Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the field include top overall seed Clemson, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech.
The NCAA College Cup for both men and women will be played in Cary, N.C.
