Women's Soccer Earns No. 2 Overall Seed In NCAA Tournament

CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina's women's soccer team has earned the No. 2 overall seed to the 2020 NCAA Championship, the NCAA announced on Monday afternoon.Â
The Tar Heels (15-0-1) will play the winner of Denver (16-2-1) and Loyola (8-1-1) in the second round on April 30 at 3 p.m. at Sportsplex in Matthews, N.C. The entire NCAA Tournament will be played at sites in the state of North Carolina.
The winner of the game between UNC and Denver/Loyola will advance to play either the 15th overall seed St. Louis, Washington or Liberty.Â
Other Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the field include top overall seed Florida State, Duke, Virginia and Clemson.
The NCAA College Cup for both men and women will be played in Cary, N.C.
