Joey Lancellotti To Miss Remainder of 2021 Season

CHAPEL HILL – UNC junior Joey Lancellotti will miss the rest of the 2021 baseball season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last week.
The right-handed pitcher from Bensalem, Pa., sustained an elbow injury in a game last month. After evaluation by the UNC Sports Medicine staff, he underwent successful surgery and is expected to return to the mound next season.
Lancellotti has made four appearances for the Tar Heels (14-12) this season with an ERA of 2.45.
