Men's Tennis Finishes Sixth In Final ITA Poll

CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina finished No. 6 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association men's collegiate rankings for the 2021 season, the ITA announced on Wednesday.
The Tar Heels, who finished 21-4 and reached the Round of 16 in the NCAA Championships before dropping a 4-3 decision to Georgia, are the highest finisher in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
National champion Florida finished No. 1, followed in the top five by No. 2 Baylor, No. 3 Texas, No. 4 Tennessee and No. 5 TCU.
Carolina grabbed the No. 6 finish, followed by No. 7 Virginia, No. 8 Texas A&M, No. 9 Georgia and No. 10 Southern California.
Other ACC teams in the final poll included No. 12 Wake Forest, No. 26 NC State, No. 32 Virginia Tech, No. 34 Georgia Tech, No. 36 Duke, No. 43 Miami, No. 51 Louisville, No. 54 Florida State and No. 55 Clemson.
